Personal Information
I am heavily involved in speleological activites, including the UTS Speleological Society of which I am an active instructor. I am also secretary of the NSW Cave Rescue Squad which is a member of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association.
During winter I ski, both downhill and cross-country. I also lead climb (though only to moderate grades) on local rock, with road trips to other climbing venues whenever possible.
I have participated in three Eco-Challenge races as a Passport Control volunteer, that is Sabah 2000, New Zealand 2001 and Fiji 2002.
In order to ensure that I don't get bored during the week, in between caving and climbing, I also figure skate at Macquarie Ice Rink..
I am also a member of the Engineers Australia, Sydney Division, Water Engineering Panel. We organise a number of seminars throughout the year for various water engineering related activities. Most of these activities can count towards CPD credits as required by Engineers Australia.
