Workshop Format

The workshop will be organized around active critiquing of research work. All workshop participants and authors must be prepared to be allocated as discussants of other papers within the workshop. The paper presentations will occur in 30 minute slots, but the actual presentations will be constrained to 10 minutes. For each paper, the allocated discussants will then be expected to have read the paper, and be prepared to lead a debate during the remaining 20 minutes about the issues raised in the paper and how the approach can lead to improvements in current development practices.

The workshop will also contain an opening keynote and a closing panel session which draws the workshop discussion threads together.
