Data Fusion and Wireless Sensor Networks

I am part of a research team working with biomimetics sensors that mimic the sensors of the natural world, biomedical technologies for the early detection and monitoring of various medical conditions, wireless sensors networks and data fusion, multi-object target tracking using nonlinear and smoothing algorithms.

With biomimtec sensor fusion I hope to understand the coordinated functioning of multiple sensors of the insect world and build multisensor fusion systems using biomimetic sensors. Data fusion for healthcare technologies includes the design and development of biomedical devices that use multiple sensors for efficient detection and simultaneous monitoring of a particular health condition and automatically diagnose a particular health condition. Projects in wireless sensor networks include the design of wireless sensor networks that address routing, coverage and connectivity, network deployment, sensor localisation problems and data fusion over wireless sensor networks. Projects in multi-object tracking include the investigation of smoothing techniques for multi-sensor inference and situational awareness systems, people tracking systems for surveillance applications, particle filtering techniques and random sets for multi-object tracking.
